Terms of Use

These terms explain the basics of using Onyx (the "App"), with a focus on the subscription. The App is licensed, not sold, to you under Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (the "EULA"), which is the governing license for the App. You can read it here: Apple Standard EULA .

License

Subject to the EULA, Faint Signal grants you a personal, non-transferable license to use Onyx on Apple devices that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service. The EULA controls in the event of any conflict with this page.

Onyx Premium subscription

Onyx is free to download and use, with unlimited habits, streaks, second chances, the Today widget, and CSV import and export at no cost. Onyx Premium is an optional upgrade that unlocks deeper Insights, planned breaks, widget tap-to-complete, and all accents and app icons. It is offered as:

• Monthly — $2.99 / month, with a 14-day free trial.
• Annual — $24.99 / year, with a 14-day free trial.
• Lifetime — $49.99, a one-time purchase (no trial).

Prices are shown in U.S. dollars and may vary by region and over time; the price shown at purchase in the App Store applies. Purchases and subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple through your Apple ID.

Free trial, billing, and renewal

• If a subscription includes a free trial, you won't be charged during the trial. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, it converts to a paid subscription and your Apple ID is charged.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Your Apple ID is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
• Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable.
• The Lifetime option is a single, non-recurring purchase and does not renew.

Managing and cancelling

You manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple ID settings: on your device, open Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions, or the App Store's account section. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Premium access until the end of the current paid period.

Refunds

Purchases are processed by Apple, and refunds are handled under Apple's policies. We cannot issue refunds directly. To request one, use reportaproblem.apple.com.

Acceptable use

Please use Onyx lawfully and don't attempt to reverse-engineer, tamper with, or disrupt the App except where such restriction is prohibited by law. Additional acceptable-use terms are set out in the EULA.

Disclaimer

Onyx is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. Onyx is a habit-tracking tool and is not a medical, mental-health, or professional advice service. Warranty and liability terms are governed by the EULA.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted here with a revised "last updated" date.
